Hi, I'm Mrs. Valerie, Head Teacher/Guide and Director of the school. I hold Washington state certification in the areas of K-8, Early Childhood and Special Education and am certified as a 3-6 Montessori Teacher. In addition to teaching, I love animals, spending time in nature, studying historic uses of foods and plants for food and medicine and working with wool and other fiber arts. I love incorporating all my interests into the school curriculum to share my knowledge and experiences with the children. 

Hi, I'm Mr. Mark and I'm a certified Montessori teacher for ages 3 - 6.  I enjoy the outdoors and share my appreciation of nature with preschoolers by teaching observation skills such as looking, listening and exploring in our outdoor learning environment.  As a teacher/guide, I feel my most important role is to help children to become self-responsible and confident learners who are proud to see what they can learn and do on their own. The best part of my day is watching a child's excitement and feeling of accomplishment when they learn something new.
